According to Fiorelli, this was a modest dwelling, consisting of an entrance corridor, to the left of which was the small shop at IX.1.31 linked with the kitchen;
to the right of the entrance corridor was the triclinium; an atrium with masonry impluvium a tablinum and three other rooms, one of which was used as a dormitory.

According to Warscher, “the large white block of tufa seen in the above photo was probably one side of the impluvium of the atrium of IX.1.32”.
